An unlikely symposium topic was co-organized by our chairman and the late Dr. G. K. Shenoy at the 1980 Fall Meeting of the Materials Research Society.  Unlikely, because the multidisciplinary combination of nuclear methods and materials science was thought to attract very few participants.
